เมื่อวันที่ 21 พ.ค. 2561 สถานเอกอัครราชทูตได้ร่วมกับสำนักงานข้าหลวงใหญ่ศรีลังกาจัดงานวันวิสาขบูชาที่สำนักงานสหประชาชาติ ณ กรุงไนโรบี โดยมีคณะทูต เจ้าหน้าที่สหประชาชาติ และคนไทยในกรุงไนโรบีเข้าร่วมด้วย

          On 21 May 2018 the Royal Thai Embassy and the High Commission of Sri Lanka co-organised the International Observance of Vesak Day at the United Nations Office in Nairobi, in which members of the diplomatic corps, UN staff and members of the Thai community in Nairobi participated.
